Sarla Shelar arrived at Bal Kalyan Nagari, Mankhurd as a young child, carrying quiet confidence beneath layers of uncertainty. Initially shy and reserved, she slowly began to open up with the care of the staff, showing a love for reading and a strong interest in languages.
Her turning point came when she joined PEHL’s supplementary education program. With regular guidance and encouragement, Sarla gained confidence and began excelling in her studies.
Her dedication paid off when she scored 62% in her Class 10 board exams, a moment of pride for everyone around her. “PEHL gave me the tools to believe in myself”, she says.
Sarla now dreams of becoming a software engineer and already spends her time helping younger girls with their studies, becoming a role model in the home. Her journey is a powerful reminder of what care, support, and belief can truly achieve. At PEHL, we’re proud to stand with girls like Sarla as they reach for their dreams.
