Project Swasthya

Health Services to Tribal Villages Across Maharashtra

Project Swasthya is PEHL’s dedicated healthcare initiative focused on reaching communities where access to medical services is limited or non-existent. From remote tribal villages to disaster-affected regions, our goal is simple – bring quality healthcare to those who need it the most. Through strong partnerships, on-ground training, and community-focused programs, we work toward building healthier, self-sustaining communities across India.

Tribal & Rural Health

PEHL has worked extensively in tribal villages across Maharashtra, providing critical health services through public-private-NGO partnerships. Our efforts include training local health workers, organising community awareness programs, conducting medical camps, and supporting early childhood care.

Through initiatives like the Adivasi Sakhi Project, we’ve empowered women with menstrual health education and distributed 750+ menstrual cups across 15 villages. Our model focuses on sustainability and is designed to be replicated in other underserved regions.

Health Camps During Natural Calamities

From floods in Kerala and Uttarakhand to the earthquake in Nepal, PEHL’s medical teams have provided immediate relief in some of the most challenging environments.

We’ve conducted camps treating over 3,000 patients in Nepal, 2,000+ in Uttarakhand, and 2,500 in Chennai – offering not just treatment, but emotional support, vaccinations, essential medications, and supplies to displaced communities.

Health Checkups in Underprivileged Communities

We provide ongoing medical care at state-run institutions like Rajkiya Balgruh Balak in Lucknow, covering dental, ENT, and general medical checkups.

Our community eye check-up camps have reached thousands, offering free cataract surgeries and low-cost spectacles. We also organise regular health screenings, follow-ups, and early childhood programs that empower parents and caregivers with life-changing health knowledge.

Medical Support in Individual Cases

In addition to our large-scale programs, PEHL identifies and supports individuals with urgent surgical, paediatric, and chronic medical conditions, often arranging for free treatment or referrals.

From restoring sight in cataract patients to arranging surgeries for children with congenital conditions, we’re committed to helping those who might otherwise go unseen.
