Health workers should make aware about First Aid, dressing and taking care of the wounds. PEHL conducted Health workers offline training at Gramin Rugnalaya, Kashele.

Resource person explained to health workers about the First Aid, dressing and taking care of the wounds. The resource person covered following topics related to First Aid in case of emergency and in daily life:

  • Objectives and benefits of first Aid.
  • Anatomy and body function.
  • First Aid box.
  • Wounds and Bleeding.
  • Fractures.
  • Unconscious.
  • Poisoning.
  • Respiratory and Asthmatic.
  • Burning.
  • Important phone numbers.

Recourse person explained different types of wounds, along with various stages of wound healing. The health workers were taught how to identify the difference between healing and non-healing wounds, and how to apply different types of dressings on wounds. This was followed by hands-on demonstration and practice on application of dressing.
