Project Saksham

Empowering Youth with Skills for Life

Saksham is PEHL’s initiative focused on skilling vulnerable youth to help them build a career, become self sufficient, and grow into positive contributors to society. Through vocational training, course sponsorships, and career-building support, Saksham opens up real opportunities for children and young adults living in destitute homes. We currently conduct vocational courses at government-run shelter homes in Mumbai and Lucknow, aiming to provide functional, employment-oriented skills that prepare youth for independent lives.

Courses We’ve Conducted

  • Computer Basics & Applications
  • Tailoring & Stitching
  • Beautician Skills
  • Electrician Training
  • English Language Proficiency

Additionally, we’ve sponsored students to pursue professional skill training at recognized ITI centers, including: Plumbing, Welding & Electrical work. We have also supported girls for doing Nursing courses and computer courses which can help them become financially independent.
These are life-long income-generating skills, enabling youth to step into the workforce with dignity and confidence.
