Mamta Ghadekar arrived at Bal Kalyan Nagari, Mankhurd at the age of 12, carrying the weight of difficult early experiences. Quiet and reserved, she had a deep desire to learn — and slowly, with the support of her caregivers, she began to blossom.
In 2022, Mamta joined PEHL’s supplementary education program, which became a turning point. With regular academic support and mentoring, her confidence grew — and so did her results.
In her Class 10 board exams, she scored 67.80%, a proud milestone that brought joy to everyone around her. “I always wanted to do well, but PEHL showed me how to take the next step towards my goal”, she says.
Today, Mamta dreams of becoming an IAS officer or a nurse and is already working hard toward that goal. Her story is a testament to what guidance, belief, and determination can achieve. At PEHL, we’re honoured to support young change-makers like Mamta and many more to come.
